Can the White Sox play against Jeff Niemann every time they get into a losing streak this year? When the Sox met Neimann in Chicago on April 10th, Rift Gold he lasted just 2.2 innings while giving up five runs. It seemed liked another run in with him was just what the club needed to bust out of their losing funk.
The Sox roughed up Niemann pretty well on the night. This time out he lasted 4.2 innings while giving up six runs (five earned). RIFT Platinum The damage started in the first inning, when Juan Pierre singled on a bunt and then advanced all the way to third on a throwing error by the Rays. One out later and the White Sox led for the first time in 51 innings. They didn’t stop at a single run, though, as they hung eight more on the board across four different innings.
Starter Gavin Floyd gave the offense just the backing it needed with an excellent game. He pitched six innings, giving up just two runs on seven hits and two walks. He also struck out seven. rift gold The White Sox bullpen also stepped up, throwing three scoreless frames with only one hit and one walk.
It was a great night for most of the lineup. Six members of the Sox had hits, RIFT Platinum and three had multi-hit games. Even Omar Vizquel got in on the action, scoring a run himself and driving in two more on two hits.
The Sox will continue their road trip and look to start a winning streak in Detroit on Friday evening, with first pitch happening at 6:05 P.M., CDT.
