The sims Makin' magic

It all started last Sunday...I broke my Sims unleashed dish, so I go up town to get a replacement, what do I see 'The Sims makin' magic' so I think that I rmtd have it, so I buy it. 20 minutes later the game in my sweaty little hands. Installed. The game is fantastic, apart from the usual more items (all +175 of them) and yet another area for your little Sims to explore, different NPC’s (including a pixie) and more skins, I noticed an interesting new feature: magic.Basically what you do is buy the right equipment, a few ingredients, and viola, instant magic made easy!I found the ingredients lists confusing at first, however a quick look at the handy spell book and I was soon making magic. So far I’ve turned a neighbour into a frog, made a certain someone really like me a cheered up lots of unhappy folks, but there are many more spells I have yet to find (including putting out fires quick, teleportation, reanimating the dead and may more). If by some miracle you only have the Sims and no add on packs, get this one first, I’ve got all the add-ons and this is by far, the best out of the lot (speaking of lots, be wary of any sim who has a lot of toads jumping round the house, you never know what dark arts they have dabbled in).If this is not one of the best Sims add on’s yet, I’ll eat my hat (and wand, and spell book)

Microsoft announces Halo Anniversary 3D

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is set to feature a stereoscopic 3D mode on Xbox 360, Microsoft has announced. CVG got a sneak peak at the mode at Gamescom last week, where new Halo house 343 Industries showed off the game's rebuilt Guilty Spark level with a pair of 3D glasses attached to our faces. It's definitely one of the better 3D modes we've seen in action on current-gen consoles, with the chief's monstrously overpowered magnum recoiling out of the screen."If you've got the technology you definitely want to take advantage of it," said 343's Dennis Reis."Guilty Spark is a fun level to show 3D because you're in the jungle, yrmto got foliage going by, plasma bolts flying over your head... it's a fun way to increase the immersion of the game and again if you've got the technology, you definitely want to take advantage of it."Halo joins a small - yet growing - list of 3D Xbox 360 games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops, Crysis 2 and just-announced addition Gears of War 3.Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is due out on November 15. Xbox Live enjoys record growth year, a 'w

Microsoft has revealed to CVG that Xbox Live's last 12 months were its biggest ever in terms of recruiting new members to the service. The platform holder won't get too specific on numbers - only revealing that Live now boasts a community of over 35 million worldwide. However, Robin Burrowes, Xbox Live product marketing manager for EMEA [Europe, Middle East and Africa], said that Live memberships had "swum in tandem" with increased adoption rates since rmttaunch of Kinect. He told CVG: "The last twelve months has been our biggest in terms of acquisition [of new members] - in the EMEA region and globally... And we're actually forecasting the next 12 months to be even bigger."We've certainly got aspirations in the console space to be the No.1 in terms of market share. Those aspirations are clear. We're exceptionally confident that the 12 months ahead will spark [Xbox Live's] growth. "We're making sure we're aligned behind the core games that have been the lifeblood of Xbox Live. With Modern Warfare 3, FIFA 12, Gears 3, Forza 4 and Halo Anniversary all coming in a very action packed period , it's a very strong time for us. "But the second wave of Kinect titles will have a deeper, more obvious Xbox Live component to them, from multiplayer in Kinect Sports [2] to co-op modes in Dance Central [2] - suggest we will be harnessing the power of those games more with Xbox Live."And that's not all. According to Burrowes, Microsoft is readying announcements for a "whole bunch" of new entertainment partners in the autumn. That means more TV and movies on Xbox Zune, we should imagine. EA 'No plans' to charge for Battlefield

EA has played down the possibility that it'll look to ape Activision's Call of Duty Elite service by bundling Battlefield 3 DLC with networking service Battlelog for a subscription fee. Analyst Michael Pachter said yesterday: "Battlelog is a free service for Battlefield 3 players that will provide statirmts, social networking tools, friend list management, squad setup, and platoons, all with built-in voice chat... Ultimately, we expect Electronic Arts to emulate Activision and charge for Battlelog by including map packs with the service for a $50 fee."Responding to Pachter's suggestion, EA told IndustryGamers: "We are providing Battlelog to Battlefield 3 players to deliver the best social, multiplayer FPS experience in the market. We have no plans to charge for this service with Battlefield 3. The Battlefield series has always been about playing with friends, and Battlelog takes that experience to the next level by serving as a unique social network." Tom Ivan

WarRock rocks!

WarRock is a well-made FPS game. A few glrmtis make it sometimes frustrating, but since it is only a beta version, it will be superb when it is released fully.

There are three grmtapes you can choose from when you play. Explosive Missions, Infantry Combat and Vehicle Combat.
Missions are where one team has to plant bombs in various areas and other has to stop them. It is a small map.
Infantry Combat is a type where there few vehicles on a medium to large map. It's good to come to when you've gotten bored of missions because when you die, you will respawn in a 10 second interval.
Vehicle Combat's maps are large, and, yep you guessed it, e are loads of vehicles, ranging from aeroplanes and helicopters to tanks and motorbikes.

Ever wanted a little more respect when you do things? WarRock has over 120 lvls you can upgrade to, and every lvl has a small shield, which sits next to your name. When you finish a game, youl receive experience, which is turned into percentage. Every time you reach 100%, you gain a lvl.

The guns aren't all the same either. When you lete a game you will also receive Dinar (the in-game currency), and the better you played the more Dinar and exp you will get.

In conclusion, WarRock is a great game, with a few niggling glitches that should be ironed out when it launches its full version. Best of all, it's f

Wii U can do anything PS3 and 360 can - E

Wii U is likely to be capable of doing anything PS3 or Xbox 360 can, according to EA, which recently received new development kits for Nintendo's console. Vice president Andrew Wilson told Eurogamer the publisher now has a slightly better idea of Wii U's power and it hopes it's even more capable than Microsoft's and Sony's systems."I think that's our hope, but again we're still in the early stages," he said. "As every new piece of hardware and every new development library comes through we get a greater understanding of the power. With our early research we had been very happy with the output of the box and we expect that that will only go up moving forward."It's still moving," Wilson added, "but I think we'll be able to do anything that we can do on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on the Wii U."Asked about the Wii U's online capabilities, Wilson said he couldn't disclose much because EA's NDAd up to the eyeballs."[Online is] something that we're working very closely with Nintendo on. We are highlighting to them what we believe are the most important elements to that infrastructure to deliver a connected experience that we think is the future of gaming. "We're working through the development with them now," he added. "We have a series of people who are under very strict NDAs as you can imagine, operating with them, building that system out." He also said FIFA 13 may be a Wii U launch title, but ultimately that decision will rest with Nintendo. While publishers and developers are still attempting to work out the technical capabilities of Wii U, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem Forever developer Gearbox has described the plarmtt as a "stop-gap" between this generation of consoles and the next.

2Moons Review

by Mary Garcia, Onrpg writer

2Moons is a free-to-play MMORPG by Acclaim. It is based on the Korean game Dekaron. Instead of translating and directly porting Dekaron, Acclaim instead reworked the game to suit a US release. Originally annormtu for US release in 2006, 2Moons is currently still in open-beta phase, with an official launch date unknown. 2Moons tagline is "No mercy for the weak, no pity for the dying, no tears for the slain". And it indeed lives up to this.

Gameplay:
2Moons is a free MMO to play. However, unlike similar free MMOs, Acclaim has decided to take the marrmtkg model one step further. Aside from the 2Moons shop, where you can purchase game items such as coins for potions and costumes for your character, you have the option of turning off the in-game advertising at the cost of slower leveling speed.

New players can choose between six jobs; Azure Knight, Hunter, Incar Magician, Vicious Summoner, Segnale or Bagi Warrior. The controls were somewhat easy to use, though using the mouse initially annoyed me. Luckily there is easy customization of these controls as well as keyboard shortcuts to hnavigate around the game.

2Moons is heavily focused on its violence aspect. PK (player killing) and PvP pretty much rule here, living up to its tagline of “No mercy for the weak, no pity for the dying.” Players may feel frustrated at the rat PK that goes on while they are exploring or leveling up. Quests are also scarce, and players are met with cheerful profanity from the NPCs in town. The storyline is also lacking. The majority of the game’s plot is what is written on the 2Moons website. With the focus being heavily on violence and mass killings, it may be a turn-off for those that enjoy questing or otherwise leveling up without being bothered.

Bots have also made their way into this game, like so many other MMOs. The spam bots in the towns spam frequently enough to where you have to leave the main part of the town just to chat. The er level bots are well equipped and PK players or otherwise grief them. This can be frustrating since it is very difficult to kill them and remove them from the area.

Graphics:
2Moon’s overall look is dark and foreboding, which fits the nature of this game well. Bright happy colors are rarely used. The graphics are also semi-dated, but that doesn’t takay from enjoying the visual fights.

There isn’t much in the way of character customization save for costumes, which be purchased at the 2Moons shop. Without costumes, the characters look similar. You are also limited to a specific gender based on what job you choose to play.

Overall:
If you’re into mass killings and violence, then this gis definitely worth a try. If you’re the casual gamer type who is into questing and engaging storylines, it may not be as enjoyable.

Pros:
-Free to play
-Controls are easy to learn; keyboard shortcuts are also convenient
-Graphics are rich despite being semi-dated

Cons:
-PK may be frustrating to casual gamers who aren’t into that aspect of MMO gaming
-Characters tend to look the same without purchasing a costume
-Bots that grief players

Dragon Oath Interview with ChangYou Manag

Questions by Vincent Haoson, Onrpg writer
Answered by Martin Tan (General Manager of ChangYou.com (US) Inc)。
Onrpg:  First of all, can you introduce ChangYou to our users?
ChangYou.com (US) Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of one of the learmtdMMORPG developers and publishers in China, Changyou.com Ltd (NASDAQ: CYOU)
Onrpg: What should we expect from the company in the future? Arermt going to publish other MMOs in the western market?
Yes.  In fact, this particular interview with OnRPG.Com is to celebrate and let all F2P MMORPG players to know that we, ChangYou (US) Inc. is about to publish our first t in the U.S. titled “Dragon Oath.”
Onrpg:&; What is Dragon Oath? What is the game’s origin and what should players expect from the game?
First of all, I would like to say first that we are going to reveal the game in more detailed fashion as we begin Prosed Beta in the beginning of July! Dragon Oath is also known as “Tian Long Ba Bu” or simply TLBB.  It has around 30 million global players  with  over 800,000 daily concurrent users in China alone.  Dragon Oath is almost finished with its westernization, and its final stage will be a public beta testing called Pre-Closed Beta; inviting very limited players from the public to finalize the westernization process.
What players can expect from Dragon Oath are so m but I will mention the most important thing that the U.S. players value the most; the Community.
Dragon Oath is built from the beginning to be a Community based MMORPG that highly promotes players to party-up and follow quests rather than simply grind and level up.  Unlike other games, Dragon Oath gives reasons for all players to play with others rather than alone.  A lot of special features that “Dragon Oath” has will automatically encourage players to build a Friend-Line orcalled a Group.  Players will play together, make friends and enjoy countless quests that it provides.  Therefore, other than those players who love to play alone with no interactions and cooperation with others, I am certain that everyone will enjoy Dragon Oath.  Onrpg:  What are the different job classes players can use? Can you give details for the classes?
Dragon Oath features 9 classes, Assassin, Beggars Alliance, Lotuser, Minstrel, Pyromancer, Royalty, Shaolin, Taoist and Voodoo.  I will provide OnRPG.com with a brief introduction for each.
Assassins are the masters of the physical and ice attacks, dealing quick powerful combos, bue most terrifying skill is their ability to move unseen.
The fighting style of Beggars Alliance is based on a series of moves that build and increase the strength of their nattack.  The apprentices base their attacks on the physical and the use of poisons miked from venomous snakes and insects.
The Lotus Order apprentices usually study thesonal virtues of the Buddha to pair with their Kung Fu.  Their studies have given them abilities and skills to not only absorb damage, but also to heal as well.
The Minstrels are o depicted as na-er-do-wells and charlatans who prefer not to meet challenges head on.  They rely heavily on traps and devices to confuse their enemies.   Their devices normally implore the aid of magic and fire elements.
Pyromancer Kung Fu is characterized by preemptive attacks; they give up defense for a short while in order to have the most powerful attack among the nine classes.  Pyromancers believe the Holy firll bless them to be reborn and will choose to die in combat rather than flee from battle.
Royalty Kung Fu prefers to use the finger instead of the sword and is most famous the 'Six Veins Divine Sword' which attacks the body’s vital points to stun the target or reduce the target's magical power.  Royalty Kung Fu is much harsher in training and over time builds up the apprentice’s resistance to poison, fire, thunder, and ice based attacks.  It is said that Royalty Kung Fu is the bane of magic users.
Shaolin Kung Fu has a long history and is trademarked by its legendary iron body skill providing both tremendous offensive and defensive power.   Fighting with the same force and power of a thunderstorme Shaolin always defend their companions first and then themselves when in a group.
Taoist Kung Fu has the strongest mastery of the elements of magic, leveraging heavily on their mastery of ter, and fighting enemies from afar.  It is believed that the Taoist philosophy, which is ingrained in their training and promotes going with the flow and living simply and in harmony with nature, cultivates leaders of men.
Voodoo Kung F the weakest of the martial arts and relies heavily on the use of poisons to inflict damage, in most cases before the battle has even begun.  The Voodoo has developed a strong defense against magic.
Onrpg:  Can you reveal anything about the game’s storyline at this early stage? The story behind Dragon Oath revolves around an elaborate saga of complex, troubled relathips among numerous characters from various kingdoms and sects during China’s Northern Song Dynasty.  The warring empires involved in the story are those of Song, Liao, Dali, Western Xia, and Tubo.  The struggles the characters experience within their combating factions affect the bonds between themselves and their families, societies, ethnic groups, and countries.  As a result, strife and conflict abound, and each player will find himself quickly pulled in to the fray, striving to evolve and leave his mark. Part of this evolution involves choosing one of the nine martial arts classes.  Once chosen, the player’s class will foster development of uniquely powerful skills and abilities that will define the player as a true force with which to be reckoned.
Onrpg:  What are the key features the game will have upon release?   The Game has so many features, it’s really ridiculous for a free to play game, but let me highlight some here: The game has a relationship system, which players can marry, form families, become teacher/disciple and more. Also, the pet system is also very nice because of the number of available pets, and the ability to breed new pets. Another nice feature is the fashion system, which the player can change their appereance without affecting the character's attributes. The 24/7 nonstop in-game events system is also very interesting, and it offontent for the player whenever they play the game. Lastly, the unique class mount feature provides more variety to the game.  Onrpg:  What do you think is the game’s main pull especially in a region where players are already riddled with other note-worthy MMOs out? And not so note-worthy.  The Western Market is no doubt becoming saturated with Asian Imports. We know our game is one of the more successful games in the Asian market for a few reasons, which we hope will translate well to North America. But the most important thing we can offer besides a quality product is the community we foster around it.  We plan to go to great lengths to satisfy Western users with levels of customer support unseen in typical free-2-play games , as well as carefully select and train community managers and liaisons to make sure we are not only speaking with and listening to our users – but also adapting our games and service quickly for you.  Onrpg:  Being that the game is originally coming from China, one of the game’s biggest challenges could be the mistranslation of Chinese words into English. How confident are you in your translations?
I will have to say that it was not easy but very professionally done.  I am very confident that all players will not have any trouble as far as the translation is concerned because we have gone through so manyferent translation stages to make it a complete one.  It is Americans who translated to make it fit the best.  Onrpg:  What is the company’s goal for the game?
We are very aware of the current F2P market situation where players are very tired of playing Asia-styled MMORPG that are full of grindings. Through Dragon Oath, our most important goal is to make players play Dragon Oath and let them know of the depth of the game contents.  In addition, we simply want to bring them to join Dragon Oath and enjoy the community that it brings to all players and let players know how the game play itself leads to the improvements of their characters rather than grinding.  Dragon Oath is already known as a very different F2P MMORPG in the global market.  I wish that the U.S. players kthis as well after a try.  Onrpg:  What should players expect from Dragon Oath in the succeeding months? What will your schedule be?
Our official teaser landing page will be launched on June 12th.  The Pre-Closed Beta, which is a public beta test for a limited numbers of players to participate in the final stage of Dragon Oath westernization will begin in the beginning of July for 5 weeks.  Then, the official Closed Beta will begin on around August 10th, and September 10th will be the launching date of Open Beta.  We will soon make an official announcement for the recruit of the testers for Pre-Closed Beta soon through our main website and OnRPG.Com.  All players!  Get ready!  Onrpg:  Thank you for your time!
I truly appreciate the time and effort that OnRPG.Com has spent for the preparation and publication of this interview.  Thanks!

Toadwater

=[TOADWATER REVIEW]=

Graphics: Really bad compared to other games so I give it a 4/10

Gameplay: Really good gameplay to me. Because it starts you off in cloud world and when you're ready you can choose when to leave and go intormt real world where other people can raid your bases etc. 9/10

Players: Thrmteyers are all around good (aside from some annoyances) but some tend to smite you for no reason at all. 9/10

Sound: No background music, but you can hear chopping sounds and other sounds. 5/10

Overall: 8/10

This is somehow a very addicting game even though it lacks music and graphics (although even if they were added they would probably make the game worse). It also updafrequently so there are often new features. So you should try it out it's awesome.

Pok閙on director 'sad' at lack of origin

Pok閙on Black/White director Junichi Masuda has said the prominence of realistic violent games at this year's E3 show saddened him, and the similarity between titles gives him a "sense of crisis"."This year, FPS war games were trend!! A lot of splatter scenes!! Blood spread everywhere. Shooting a lot, killing a lot," he noted in a blog post about his findings at E3. "The game developer seems get used to 'kill' the target. Therefore, I felt 'how to kill' became a focus of developing game. For that reason, target become zombie and alien..." he added in his own (gladly rmtey comprehendible) version of English. Masuda goes on to express his disappointment at the prominence of these realistic violent games. "These targets' savage attack and human counterattacks... It became savage contents and you never know. Mmm... It is the player who choose the game to play. As a game creator, it is little sad!" he said. "Majority of the games look like a same game," Masuda added. "There were little of original games. I felt a sense of crisis with above part."Pok閙on Black/White cruised past the two million sales mark in the US within just two weeks on sale. So the overwhelming similarity between Pok閙on titles over the years isn't a concern, then.

The MMO Bro Code Chapter 2 Roleplaying

Rule number 1: Always treat girl characters as girls on an RP server。

Some talk likrmtestocrats and some like barbaric idiots. Always respect them and play accordingly as they may actually save your ARSE in the near future. The more hardcore they are at roleplaying, the longer they have been playing. These peeps might have super strong alts (alternative characters) so treat them well.。

3). The Chick with eggs- Some players actually have characters of the opposite gender. Note that this gimmick of theirs does not hinder them from becoming a Bro as there are no rules about queers not being Bros. It also does not prove anything about them being queer whatrmtsr.。

 。

 。

Note: The words Yo and Dude only makes sense when it is being said by a true Bro.。

 。

 。

 。

As creepy as it maem, it is a Roleplaying server anyway, and us Bros need to keep order by playing accordingly with fellow Bros. This enhances the experience and can work well for your character in various ways. Yes, we are aware that your mistress is a dude, but always remember that a dude is a Bro and a Bro is your dude, so keep that dude happy so he'll become your Bro. (Same applies to girls playing as males)。

Today we are going to discuss the various limitations and exceptions of our MMO Bro rules in the aspect of Roleplaying. If you are not familiar with the MMo, then I suggest you read our first chapter here. For those who are familiar with what we Bros are all about, let's begin.。

 。

 。

Referred to as: Yo, dude, or simply by their first name (NEVER refer to a Bro by their last name as each Bro deserves to be called by their first name as a form of rct)。

What is an MMO Bro? Surely you know who your MMO Bros are. These are the cpeople in your group of adventurers whom you call dude, Bro, or simply the ones who are there to help you out in your time of need. MMO Bros are all around us, and though not all MMO Bros know each other, they simply just know who's a Bro when they talk to one. Greetings my fellow Bro and welcome to Chapter 2 of our "Broscapades".。

Rule number 3: A real Bro knows how to RP a sensual love scene。

A Rolebreaker can annoy the hell out of Bros in real life, but that shouldn't stop them from pursuing their desired play style. If ever you come across a rolebreaker, just pretend that you don't understand him even though he says dude and yo like a real Bro. He may throw insults like "retard" and "fat-arse" in your , but do know that he's the only idiot on that RP server.。

 。

2). The Fantasy Brot all Bros can be called Bros; in fact, there are some who persistently want to roleplay. Note that these people are still your Bros regardless of what dimension their mind is in at the moment.。

Real Bros never mutter out nonsense in the middle of an RP conversation. A true Bro must always have an active storyline and must never say that he has forgotten something or has lost his memory unless it is a part of his character and is bound to regain his memory 2 sds later (LOL). This also applies to your character's RP battle cry. If ever you are in the middle of combat, don't shout "FOR THE EMPIRE" if you belong to the federation cause' then you will be forced to hand over your Bro dignity and will need to eat 5 raw chickens and 7 goat tongues in order to gain your honor back.。

1). The "Rolebreaker"- If you've ever been on a playing server, you'll notice that some of the players are actually acting normally instead of in character. Note that these are trying too hard and are fake Bros who are calling real Bros "Dude" or "Yo" unaware of their lack of coolness.。

 。

1). The chick- any MMO girl can also be a Bro, and there are no rules stating that a chick can never be a Bro. As long as she's got your back and is equally cool as the other Bros then tharl is definitely a Bro.。

 。

1). Elite Alpha Bro Commander- in a roleplaying server, a pack of wolves must also have their alpha wolf to avoid unnecessary actions in the RP server. These are Bros who are experienced and have faced various obstacles in said game, so trhim with respect and he'll treat you with HONOR.。

 。

A real Bro's awesome performance in his IRL sex-lmust also be implemented when RP calls for it. There's no doubt that true Bro knows how to satisfy polygonal chicks especially in a bordello scenario, so go and make them squirm for mercy!。

References to real life are not permitted (naked dancing is, though).

Elite classes:。

 。

2). The deaf-  Some people actually just ignore other people on purpose. These people are not hostile in terms of PVP but sometimes interfere with your progress by kill stealing and ninja looting. If oneyour party members refuses to talk or chat, feel free to kick them off the party as they are obviously up to no good.。

 。

 。

 。

 。

 。

There's nothing like walking in on a sex scene.

 。

Roleplaying is fun... and having an MMO Bro around makes it even better. If a party consists of all Bros, then the game is considered null and void due to the aura of awesomeness irradiating from the presence of a group of Bros. If the server has an RP rule then don't be a Rolebreaker. Always stay true and act your part with dig and pride. You are a true Bro, with an epic storyline that makes any lore look like a child's sketchbook. Hear your Bros and don't be deaf, obey your Elite Alpha Bro commander so that you too may sit in his stature as you grow with all the BRO-NESS in your presence. Until then, may the spirit of the Bro god invest good fortune and a 1337 amount of gold in your journey.。

 。

 。

 。

Rule number 4: Bros KNOW what they are talking about。

Rule number 2: A true Bro stays in character even in the presence of a Rolebreaker。

 。

Getting this far is a quest on its own.

The MMO Bro Code Chapter 2: Roleplaying

OnRPG Exclusive Realm of the Titans Inter

Games in this genre typically have one big monster that teams can engage that is in neutral territory. Realm of the Titans is changing it up. Each team will have two bosses on their sides. A team can release their boss by defeating the corresponding enemy boss. This is no easy feat as the enemy boss is behind enemy lines. If a team manages to pull off this feat they will release their team's boss up their middle lane to helrmtptroy the enemy base.。

Yes, we will regularly be adding new heroes and items to Realm of the Titans.。

OnRPG: Will you guys be constantly tweaking and updating the maps? 。

OnRPG: on the site you mentioned that you guys are Pro DotA players, how do you think that assists in developing a game likrmteT? 。

OnRPG: Is RotT a purely competitarena-strategy game or will you provide back stories or even a semblance of any lore-creating features that other games have? 。

OnRPG: What features (aside from the ones posted on your site) does Realm of the Titans have? 。

Just like we sd above there will be many features we plan to release in the future, but for now we are listening to what the players have to say. Just like Realm of the Titans was developed by gamers we feel that providing player mentality is essential in gameplay creation.。

OnRPG: You guys mentioned about "Bosses" that players may unlock, can you elaborate on that?。

OnRPG: What exclusive features does Realm of the Titans have that you can say can pique the interest of your ers? 。

Realm of the Titans isn't just a competitive arena-strategy game inside a vacuum. All of the characters in the game are unique and have a personality and back story o with it. Gameplay is always our main focus, but we feel that having stories about each character help players connect and recognize those characters faster.。

Realm of the Titans will feel familiar to players of Heroes of Newerth, DotA, and League of Legends, but it is not a copy of any of them. Some of the small differences are map layout changes, size of map, and new UI. Some of the larger differences include unique heroes, our Boss system, improved AI, and a uty skill system that lets players bolster their strategies and play styles throughout the game. We plan on taking the game in a different direction than HoN or LoL within the genre.。

OnRPG: How many Maps does the game have right now? 。

Questions by Vincent Haoson, OnRPG Journalist。

OnRPG: Would it be safe to assume that Realm of the Titas similar to Heroes of Newerth, DotA or even League of Legends? What can you say is the difference between the Realm of the Titans compared to the rest? 。

Players interested in the beta testing should keep an eye on the official website for further details!。

Balance is very important to us and something we will be monitoring closely. This doesn't just mean hero balance either. We will be monitoring the gameplay that player's experience on our maps and see how fun it is and in what ways we can ive that gameplay.。

Answers by Travis Hawk, Associate Producer at Aeria Games。

OnRPG: Will the game follow the usual route of players conquerine other side by eliminating the tower defenses and destroying the main base of the opponent? Or will you be adding more "battle features" that other similar games did not do?。

OnRPG: Thank you again for giving us the time to talk to you guys. Can you give ourders an idea when the Beta test will launch? And what's in store for players who successfully become part of the beta test?。

Having vast knowledge of the games genre helps us durievelopment a lot. It allows us to understand the game from the players perspective and just like we stated above we do keep the players mentality in mind when working on the development of the title.。

So far we don't have a set amount of maps and features to unveil at this time.。

The original map for Realm of the Titans features the standard 5v5 gameplay that players will be familiar with. We are looking to expand gameplay in new and fun ways. We feel that the genre till in its fledgling state and there is a lot of room to grow.。

OnRPG: Thank you for giving us the opportunity to talk to you guys. We know you have been busy in preparation for the game's beta but before that your site has been scant with details on what Realm of Titans is about so you give us a brief preview on what it is? 。

OnRPG: Will you be regularly updating the hero roster like LoL or HoN?。

Realm of the Titans is strategic team PvP combat where scores of players clash in heated battles as they vie for control of the map. Teams begin warfare from opposite corners, and then must fight their way across the expansive terrain for ultimate control of the map. A key component to victory in is a cleverly balanced team. Choose many heroes, each with unique strengths and weaknesses. Only throcooperative teamwork and strategic combat can players dominate the map in the Realm of the Titans.。

Additionaatures include the popular DotA tactic known as "deny", where players can deny experience and gold to enemies. Spacious inventories and a new "Recommended Items" feature enhance and streamline your shop experience. There will be more features in the future but this is all we can release at this time, but do believe we love to hear from the players in our forums and are almost always listening to what suggestions they have to offer.。

Deus Ex Human Revolution - PS3 vs 360 co

The Deus Ex: Human Revolution review scores that came out yesterday leave no doubt that the prequel is a special title, but for you multi-platrmtfgamers, we've put together a PS3 vs. 360 comparison video to further inform your buying decision. There's a noticeable difference between the two but we wouldn't say either version has game-breaking visuals by any stretch of the imagination. It's a close call. With brightness being the clearest disparity, your buying decision will naturally come down to preference.Have a read of PSM3's Deus Ex: Human Revolution review alongside our own from Xbox World 360, if you haven't, which obviously look at the PS3 and 360 versions of the game respectively.Otherwise watch the video, judge for yourself and tell us what you think: Watch in HD 7 comments Tom Pakinkis

MMOs on Linux - More Choice Than You Thin

 。

Up until early 2009, the popular sparmtcventure EVE Online was actively supported, but the  developers, CCP Games, discontinued the Linux client citing lack of uptake. Luckily, the ever-creative Linux community began work on making the game compatible with their OS of choice, and it wasn't long before users of Ubuntu, Fedora and other distributions were back playing. Thanks in part to Alexandre Julliard's Wine. 。

 。

Microsoft Windows is the most popular operating system in the world, with over 92% of computers running Redmond's desktop behemoth. If you are primarily a PC gamer, it is unlikely you have, or have ever considered, moving to a different operating system. Why subject yourself to the issues that  A completely new architecture, paradigm and approach to how computing should be for a user, would bring? All of your software won't work, your file formats won't be recognised, your games won't play, right? Not really. Deploying Linux on your hard drive has its advantages, and recent developments have meant that making the switch doesn't mermtasing out.。 。

Wine is the preferred method to get MMORPGs up and running on a Unix-based systems, and development has come leaps and bounds from where it was several years ago. Support for pixel shaders and better 3D rendering have increased game compatibility, performance and functionality dramatically. Today, there are countless titles that will work lessly with an out-of-the-box Wine installation. No tinkering, no configuration, just install and play. Not dissimilar to Windows.。

One of the fundamental reasons Windows users refuse to switch to a Linux based operatsystem is its apparent lack of video game compatibility. It is not unfair to say that Microsoft owns a colossal share of the PC gaming market, but installing and playing your favourite MMORPG on a Linux machine isn't impossible,. nor is it particularly difficult. Drastic advancements have been made which enable most popular games that used to just run on Windows, to work perfectly under Linux.。

The Linux community is renowned for their creativity and problem solving, and are determined to increase et share by working to make distribution as easy to use as possible. Even so, some may say that Linux don'tneed game publisher backing, as the developer community are coping just fine going it alone.。

 。

 。

The general consensus is that playing any kind of game on Linux is a tiring, impractical and cumbersome process. In reality, you can play almost any popular MMORPG without a hitch. The Wine Application Database has an extensive list of all the MMOs that have been tested, and what you can expect fromning them under Wine.。

Drivers also play a crucial part in game performance, and both Nvidia and ATI have official releases for most chipsets. There are community-developed drivers (in Linux, there is community developed everything) for those looking for an open source alternative. I find the configuration of a strong Linug to be trial and error. If your frame rate in AION resembles a slide show, mix and match the drivers and settings.。

Unfortunately the answer is yes, and it may not change for some time. MMO developers don't wish to invest in Linux players because frankly, there just aren't enough of them. With the popularity of OS owing, and the recent release of Windows 7 restoring consumer faith in Microsoft, It's not surprising that companies are focussing their efforts on an already established player base.。

Teething problems aren't uncommon。

The compatibility is finally there, so switching to a different operating system no longer means waving goodbye to your MMOs. It not be as seamless as double clicking an installer, but the fun you will have learning and playing with Linux is well worth the price of admission.。

MMOs on Linux - More Choice Than You Think
Neil Kewn (Murxidon) , OnRPG Journalist。

 。

Nothing. Linux is generally free, but for what you make up for in savings you will lose in time. To get the most out of the operating system, a big chunk of your time will have to be invested. Great strides in user friendliness haven't completely eliminated the need for most users to bash the odd command or two into Terminal. Still, you will be rewarded with an insanely more customisable system tis free from viruses and malware. Not to mention Linux's famed reliability, perfect for avoiding Window's relentless vendetta against important guild runs (BSOD at the most inopportune time, anyone?).。

 。

 。

The popularity of the penguin has begun to grow amongst average users, despite the plam being around for four decades. The netbook boom has finally brought a computer running Linux into many people's homes. Unfortunately, much to the open source community's dismay, developers still aren't very keen on making their releases compatible. As a result, there aren't many MMORPGs that can be run natively on Linux.。

 。

Linux will greet you with a blank stare if you try and an .exe file, whereas Wine will treat it as just another Windows application. Wine  is a free program for Unix and Unix-like operating systems which enables software written for Microsoft Windows to be installed and executed. Microsoft Office, iTunes, World of Warcraft, even Internet Explorer can be installed onto a Linux box in this way.。

 。 。

 。

 。

It is unlikely that any Linux user is a die-hard PC gamer, and there is naturally a downside to executing code written for Windows on a completely different architecture. Performance may take a slight hit in some games, and I personally encountered a number of texture and rendering issues in several MMORPGs (for example, the map in World of Warcraft didn't register my location erly). Usually, if there is a problem that a lot of players are having trouble with, a workaround or fix  is generally developed and posted.。

 。

 。

 。

For those who want an even easier way to game on Linux, PlayOnLinux is, frankly, idiot-proof. It is based on Wine, so you can expect the same compatibility with your favourite MMOs. A central window lists all Windows applications installed, with option to add more using a wizard interface. Games can even be installed from a CD or DVD, meaning you don't have to fuss around with Windows clients downloaded from the developer's website.。
